A Do Nothing Jesus

Many seem to prefer a powerless do-nothing Jesus. It takes Divine power to forgive sin, it takes Divine power to make an enemy of God into a child of God, it takes Divine power to direct a man*s steps and it takes Divine power to raise a man from the dead.

Luke 5:24: But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Jeremiah 10:23: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Philippians 3:10: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Many prefer a Jesus who would not exercise His Divine power on them until their death. They would prefer a Jesus that would not direct their steps until they die but would still take them to Heaven. They prefer a Jesus that would leave them in charge of themselves and their lives until their death. They want Him to be powerless until their death and then they want to Him to be powerful. They would like Him to exercise none of His Divine power in their lifetime but exercise all Divine power at their death. They want a do-nothing Jesus in their lifetime and a do-everything Jesus after their death. It doesn*t work that way. Jesus has all power in Heaven AND in Earth.

Matthew 28:18: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

If He has not done a Divinely powerful work on them and in their lives before their death it will be too late.

Hebrews 9:27: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

The verse does NOT say: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the mercy:

Unbelievers like I was have something in common with Demons. They want a do-nothing Jesus too.

Luke 4:33: And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, 34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

We need The All-Powerful Do-Everything Jesus right now and always.
